mean girls

this movie was more recent and more relateable.
even though the plot and stereotypes were really exaggerated in the film, there is definitely a lot of drama in high school. Girls can start a lot of drama, and they fight dirty.
also, the movie made it seem like there were very distinct groups of people in high school: plastics, jocks, sexually active band geeks, etc.
The idea that high school is this huge popularity contest was also present.
again, amusing, but exaggerated.

rebel

In Rebel Without a Cause, the need for teenagers to want to fit in was the main idea. The main character didnt want to look like a coward, so he went along with Buzz and played chicken, even though it was a reckless and deadly game.
The stereotype portrayed in the movie were pretty exaggerated. there was the stereotypical “bad boy” and his gang, and the “beauty, and finally there was jim, who was an outsider trying to fit in and be cool.
although the movie was dated and exaggerated the stereotypes, the idea of fitting in is still present in high school and life today.

This is me on my first day of kindergarten.
The picture shows a cheerful child enjoying the sunshine.
It doesn’t show my insecurity and fears. I was really afraid to be apart from my parents and I cried a lot that day.

moral

I have realized that most friendships and relationships are fleeting illusions. People walk in and then they leave. Nothing is permanent.

Therefore, I have learned to never, ever depend too much on a single person. Relationships are too frail, people too unreliable, inconsistent.

My moral: Live for myself.

Because the people who I associate with now won’t be with me forever. I want to be responsible for my own decisions, and I want to live without having to blame others for my wrongdoings. I am responsible for my own life, I am my own person.

ltina:

The most difficult questions for me to answer is describe yourself and what do you love doing/what do you want to do when you grow up? During the first day of school teachers would have us fill out a worksheet with little fun facts about our self, and I’ve always despised those. I would always sit…

I’m glad that i’m not the only person who feels this way. I really don’t know what to do with my life. But, I think that knowing what you DON’T want to do is a great start c:

❝Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer.❞
